Objectives:

To solve the problems facing conservation of the living resources of the high seas.

Summary of Provisions:

• All states have to adopt measures to conserve living resources of the high seas.
  
• Conservation measures should also secure supply of food for human consumption.
  
• Disputes to be settled through a special commission made of five members.
