Protocol Relating to Intervention on the High Seas in cases of Marine Pollution by Substances other than Oil

Objectives:

To enable States to take action on the high seas in cases of a maritime casualties resulting in grave and imminent danger of pollution to their coastline or related interests by substances other than oil.

Summary of Provisions:

To prevent, mitigate or eliminate grave and imminent danger to their coastline or related interests from threat of pollution by substances other than oil following a maritime casualty.
