Protocol of 1992 to amend the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage, 1971

Objectives:

• To Amend the provisions of the 1971 International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage to harmonize them with the amendment to the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage, 1969 set out in its protocol of 1992.
  
• To provide provisions for denunciation of the 1971 Fund Convention and the 1969 Liability Convention. (art. 31)
