Objectives:
The development and proper utilization of the resources of
the Mediterranean and contiguous waters through international
cooperation.
Summary of Provisions:
A General Fisheries Council for the Mediterranean (within
the framework of FAO) established,
- To encourage, coordinate and undertake research.
- To publish information
- To propose measures regarding standardization of equipment,
techniques and nomenclature and the development and proper
utilization of aquatic resources
