Objectives:
To protect birds in the wild state
Summary of Provisions:
- Protection during breeding season to all birds
- To migrants during their flight to breeding grounds
- To endangered species throughout the year
- Prohibit taking eggs and young birds
- A species found to be a pest in a region may be excepted
from protection
- Exception may be made in the interest of science and education
- Parties to establish reserves for breeding birds
