The Programme


Day One

Arrive Bahrain to be met at the airport by our representative and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.

Day Two (Manama)

After breakfast a full day programme to further explore the birds at the plantation areas, afternoon will be spared to have very close encounter with the rare Grey Hypocolius. Lunch will be provided enroute. Return to your hotel in the evening and time permitting a further opportunity to enjoy the evening sights of Bahrain, at your leisure.

Day Three

After breakfast a one more exciting day to look forward to where you will have a unique experience to witness varieties of birds inhabiting coastal areas including Bahrain largest Mangrove Reserve.Lunch will be provided during the tour. Return to your comfortable hotal room for a well-deserved rest. Bahrain fabulous evening beckons.

Day Four

After breakfast we will take a drive of about thirty minutes to reach Al-Dur jetty to take the boat to the beautiful island of Hawar.

We should reach Hawar at about 11:00 a.m. and after a short break we shall go on an island tour by minibus courtesy of Hawar Resort Hotel. We shall return for lunch and immediately afterwards leave for the first glimpses of birds on the main Hawar Island. Larks, Wheatears, Shrikes as well as Gulls, Herons and Waders will be encountered. Return back to your hotel and prepare for a leisurely dinner.

Day Five (Hawar Island)

After breakfast we will embark on a boat journey adventure to the famous isles of Hawar to experience nature's bounty in abundance. This will include breeding Osprey and the world largest Socotra Cormorant breeding colony on the small island of Sawad. After unforgettable morning we return back to the hotel for lunch and then we trip back to Manama. Time and energy permitting the evening can he spent browsing in the old Suqs (traditional markets) of Manama or the ultra modern shopping Malls. A visit to the gold street is a mandatory.

Day Six

From the afternoon we will go to a quiete area in the desent to spend the night in a tent.A very good chance to encounter may desent birds in the early mourning

Day Seven

After breakfast a journey into the famous desert regions of Bahrain with it's unsurpassed natural wonders. Feast your eyes to your hearts content. Various species of desert avifauna will be encountered with the chance to see Cream-Coloured Courser, Black-crowned Finch Lark and Hoopoe Lark. A relucant return back into reality,for sumptuous spread of a traditional Bahrain lunch in one of the finest restaurants in Bahrain . After lunch the entire evening at your disposal for last minute shopping before your transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
