BAHRAIN NATIONAL GAS COMPANY

THE

THE ENVIRONMENT ISSUE
Environment protection is one of the primary goals of the
Company in its mission to maintain its position as one of
the most effective and efficient companies in Bahrain. Indeed
the establishment of the Company immediately contributed to
environment protection by putting an end to the venting to
atmosphere of the associated gas extracted from the Bahrain
Oil field.
Environment protection in the Company includes direct activities
such as plant enhancements to minimize harmful emissions and
the control of waste disposal. Indirect activities include
financial support to environment protection organizations
such as the Bahrain Environmental Affairs, the National Committee
for Wildlife Protection and the Bahrain Centre for Studies
and Research.
Banagas also takes a leading role in raising public awareness
towards the environment through publications that are specifically
designed to focus on the protection of the environment and
preservation of the natural habitats and wildlife.
