A refuge for endangered Arabian species and a Wildlife Educational Centre.

Geographical aspects:
The site is at Al Markh area, 5 km southwest of Jabal Al Dukhan, and 2 km from Zallaq shoreline. The site is divided into two parts: The Reserve and the Park.

Flora:
Native vegetation in the reserve particularly a good community of the Broom bush Leptadenia pyrotechnica.

Fauna:
Different herds of Arabian mammals like the Arabian Oryx and the Reem Gazelle are present in the reserve. Representative collection of ungulate species from Arabian Peninsula, East Africa, North Africa and Asia belonging to 30 species of mammals and 60 different species of birds are present in the Park where some are kept in enclosures. Visitors can take scheduled buses with guides to enjoy a nice wildlife tour in the park.
