Geographical aspects:
In the south of Saudi Arabia with Al Arad mountains
to the west and the sand plains to the east with Alfou
archeological site to the northwest. Three distinct
local habitats in the reserve: Al Tuwaiq mountains,
valleys and sand plains.
Flora:
A diversity of plant species associated to the three
main habitats.
Fauna:
Each habitat has its distinct species. Oryx leucoryx
and Gazella subgutturosa have been reintroduced in the
reserve.
