The area is in North Sinai along the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea, 35 km from Al Areesh. The area is a part of the east side of Lake Bardaweel, which is known for its high salinity.

Fauna:
hundreds of thousands of migratory birds belonging to 80 species can be seen in the area during autumn.
